Bryan Fred Wheeler, Ogden, passed away peacefully Monday November 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family, to join his eternal companion who had passed away 50 days prior.

Bryan was born March 6, 1935 in West Weber, UT. His parents were James Melvin and Cynthia Lois Heslop Wheeler.

He grew up in West Weber and graduated from Weber High School. He joined the Army and served in Germany during the Korean War.

He married Renae Stokes in the Logan Temple on April 24, 1958, and they were the parents of seven children.

He worked as a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper, the memories of which brought joy to him the rest of his life. He also worked for Varsity Contractors, and he retired from Farr's Ice Cream as their Fleet Manager which gave him the opportunity to eat ice cream every day and make many friends.

He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and enjoyed his years spent as a Ward and Stake Executive Secretary and as an Ogden Temple Worker.

He is survived by his children, Brent Wheeler (Deanna), Lois Oldham (Troy), Karen Wheeler, Duane Wheeler (Shylo), Kimberley Strank (Adam), daughter-in law Jill Wheeler, and 20 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; brothers Jim Wheeler (Marion), Phil Wheeler (Sharon), Lynn Wheeler (Marge), Della Wayment, & Carol Bennett.

He is reunited with his wife Renae, sons, Scott Wheeler, and Jay Wheeler.

We wish to express our gratitude to the staffs of Mount Ogden Care Center and Symbii Hospice for their compassionate care of our parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Monte Vista Ward 3845 S. 2000 W. Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday December 4, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
