LANDISBURG - Martha E. Lyons, 87, of Landisburg passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 in the Hershey Medical Center.
Martha was born October 10, 1929 in Landisburg to the late Harry D. and Stella M. (Kennedy) Foose. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Gene Lyons, 2 brothers, Robert E. Foose, William E. Foose and a great-grandson, Atlas Valor Golda.
Martha was a homemaker and a member of New Hope United Church of Christ, Landisburg Fire Company and Landisburg Ambulance Company.
Surviving are her children, James Lyons of Landisburg, Peggy Rose of Ft. Belvoir, VA., Cathy Grigg, Springfield, VA., Barbara Smith of Leesburg, VA., Judy Fulton of Landisburg, Jodi Mondragon, Falls Church, VA., two sisters, Frances Georgeff of Shiloh, IL., Ruth Buck of Enola, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous loving neighbors and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, Pa. 17047. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM, November 19, 2016 in New Hope United Church of Christ, 108 S. Carlisle Street, Landisburg, PA 17040 with Pastor Joshua D. Craley officiating and a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday in the church. Burial will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery, New Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Hope United Church of Christ, P. O. BOX 343, Landisburg, Pa. 17040
