Michael Bruce Swartz, age 67, of Harrison, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He was born April 26, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Harold and Dana (Collier) Swartz.
Mike graduated from Dade College with a degree in music.
He was a gifted mechanic and carpenter. He loved to cook and garden. In fact he was good at anything he put his mind to.
He was part owner of the Nissan (Z) Shop of Miami, Florida for 12 years.
He lovingly cared for his wife through many difficult surgeries. He will be terribly missed by us all.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dave Swartz, of Anchorage, Alaska.
Mike leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Janet (Hume) Swartz, of the home; two sons, Clayton Swartz, and Shannon Swartz; six grandchildren, all of Pinellas Park, Florida; a step-son, Justin Barnett, of Miami, Florida; and a step-daughter, Heather Barnett, of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Open visitation for friends and family to pay their respect will be held Thursday and Friday, December 1 and 2, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, in Harrison, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
