Services for Garry Lee Hill, 60 of Ada, were at 2:00 p.m. Monday December 12, 2016 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mickey Keith officiated. The service was really outstanding and the chapel was full. A male guest gave a very interesting, informative talk about Garry that told many things about his life. Even though I (the writer of this biography) have known Garry for over 20 years, I learned a lot about him and respected him even more. I know many were blessed for knowing Garry over the years.

Burial followed at Rosedale Cemetery. However, those of us who know Garry believe he has now passed on to be with his heavenly father and other friends and relatives.

Garry died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Ada. He was out doing what he loved, running.

He was born July 14, 1956 in Pontotoc County to Floyd C. and Opal Inez Cheek Hill. He graduated from Ada High School. He attended East Central University for a year.

He was an avid runner, tennis player and table tennis (ping pong) player. He won many medals from running. He enjoyed using his computer. He was a member of the Life Community Church. He was a fine, caring Christian man.

Survivors include four sisters, Donna Long of Ada, Alta Hill of Wewoka, Betty Wilson of Stratford and Dorothy Wilmoth of Ada, and one brother, Jerry Hill of Tulsa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
