Mary Van Houten age 95 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 21, 1921 in New York City, NY the daughter of Thomas and Grace Spitaleri Incognito. She worked as a seamstress in Garfield, New Jersey. Mary married John Van Houten who pre-deceased her. She was an active member with the Ladies Auxiliary, Rosa-Fleming VFW Post #161, Port Jervis and the Port Jervis Senior Citizens. Mary is survived by her niece Angela Porcelli of Staten Island, her great nephew Andrew Porcelli , her great niece Donna Thompson Sclafani, several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-son John VanHouten, Jr. and her step-daughter Joan Jordan. Graveside services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, November 30 at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton, New Jersey. Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.
