Leland Arthur Wright, son of Donald Eugene and Mable Maxine Marshall Wright, was born April 4, 1956, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty years, seven months, and twenty-six days.
His father preceded him in death.
Leland is survived by his mother, Maxine Wright, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Eric Wright, of Lebanon, Missouri; two daughters, Tracy Allen, and Ashley Jones, and her husband, Daniel, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Donna Gleb, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; his former wife, Debra “Debbie” Wright, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Lebanon and was raised in the Lebanon area. He graduated from Stoutland High School, and then began working for the City of Lebanon. He was a truck driver for the city street department for thirty-three years before retiring.
Leland followed the Baptist faith throughout his life.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, and watching television, especially old classic television shows. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them.
Leland was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his sixty years.
