Robin Diane Shaver Franklin, age 54, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2016, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 28, 1962, in Bristol, Va., a daughter of the late J.W. and Dorothy White Shaver. Robin was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. She was a member of East Bristol Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Christopher L. Thacker and wife, Tara and Joshua D. Thacker and wife, Danelle; Nan Nan Stinkey Bugs, Arlan, Austin and Bella; grandchildren, Jonas, Heidi, Chloe, and Sydney; three sisters, Evelyn Louise Smith and husband, Joe, Kathy Maness and husband, Mike, and Kayla Jones and husband, Ryan; brothers, Darrell Shaver and fianc‚e, Annette Bledsoe and David L. Shaver and wife, Teressa; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Dolly Keith. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie White officiating. The interment will follow the service at Rooty Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chuck Shaver, Darrell Shaver, James Maness, Adam Hodge, Garrett Phillips, and Steven Starrett. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kayla, Linda and Marty.
