He is widely known throughout the county.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattle Murphey, by three sons, Clarence, of Akron, Ohio; Tye of Detroit and Robert of Cleveland; by four daughters, Mrs. Ed Works of Dukedom; Miss Susie Murphey, of Akron, and Misses Winnia and Willie Murphey, who resides at home; and by two brothers, John of the county and Lindell of Akron Ohio.
