Sylvia E. Bristol Sterling, 64 of Liverpool, died Saturday at her home. She was a graduate of the Mexico Academy and Central Schools. She then lived in Cicero, Tennessee before returning to Central New York to raise her family in 1980. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement in 2012.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Howard and Joyce Bristol and her brothers, Ronald and Warren (Ba) Bristol.
Sylvia is survived by her three daughters, Andrea Perry of Mexico, Rebecca Perry of Brewerton and Julie Russell of Liverpool; her brother, Melvyn Bristol of Syracuse; two sisters, Eunice Weber of Parish and Beverly Hiller of Parish; along with her five beautiful grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico NY. Burial will be in Upson's Corners Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
