He was the son of Abner G. and Vivian M. Jones. He loved to have fun and play games; especially a late-night game of chess.
His work included Kitchen Center & Economy Builders as a cabinet salesman and at the LDS Conference Center as staff. He worked hard and enjoyed being able to serve others.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Jones. He is survived by his children, Randy (Ginger) Jones, Jason (Amie) Jones, Wendy (Santiago) Valladares, Jeff (Sunny) Jones, Paul (Lyndi) Jones, Russell (Amy) Jones, Adam (Laura) Jones, and Alicia (Chris) Springmeyer; grandchildren, Nelson, Nakia, Marisa, Jonathan, Andrew, Donald, Toby, Brett, Edward, Ethan, and one due in March; and sister, Becky DeHaan, of Sandy.

A viewing will be held in the River Tenth Ward Building, 1570 West 11400 South, on Thursday, Decided 1, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at the same address on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
He will be interred in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
