Allen married his sweetheart, Faye Ashton, on January 16, 1947. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 69 wonderful years together before her passing on April 8, 2016. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and participated in all five major battles during the war. A true patriot, he was proud to serve his country. Allen served an apprenticeship in Jewelry and Watchmaking in Vermont. A Spanish Fork Businessman for 35 years, he owned and operated Adams Sporting Goods and Adams Jewelry. Allen loved to design and create his own jewelry. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed tying flies. However, his greatest love was golfing, especially with his sweetheart. Allen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in various callings throughout his life.
He is survived by three of his four children, Mary (Garry) Briggs, Douglas (Susan) Adams, and Diane Adams; a son-in-law, Gregg Nelson; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Faye; daughter, Linda Nelson; grandson, Brett Douglas Adams; parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.
