Ms. Cecile S. Johnson, 68, of 2128 Chester Ridge Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital. Cecile was the daughter of the late Mr. Wiley Swann Sr. and the late Mrs. Ollie Russell Swann. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Johnson.
Survivors include three daughters, five brothers, three sisters, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, Cameron Graves; one aunt and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin Swann and Alvis Swann, and sister, Louise Swann.
She was a member of Miles Chapel Baptist Church and former President of the Usher board and was very active in church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved to make pies for her brothers. Overall, she just loved her family. She was on the basketball team when she was in high school and an avid Tar Heel and Panthers sports fan.
Burial will be in Miles Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
