Don was born August 26, 1938 in Mott, ND to Joe and Violet (Sullivan) Wanner. He graduated from Mott Lincoln High School. He was a member of the ND National Guard for 6 years. Don married Margaret Haas on June 27, 1961. They were blessed with 5 children. Don farmed most of his life in Mott before moving to the Bismarck/Lincoln area.
Don is survived by his wife, Margaret, Lincoln; one son, Ardean (Sonya) Wanner, Bismarck; three daughters, Lorele (Merlin) Leithold, Elgin, Joette (Ron) Schumacher, Lincoln, Rachel (Eldon) Mehrer, Dickinson; one daughter-in-law, Marlys Wanner, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren, Derrick (Nicole) Leithold, LeeAnn (Brandon) Sailer, Justin (special friend Domenique), Kalyssa and MariAnn Leithold, Dalton and Kyra Schumacher, Brett and Britton Wanner and Mitchell and Andrea Mehrer. Six great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his son Gary, his brother Roger and his parents.
