(June 9, 1937 - November 28, 2016)

79 year old Hattie Dale Maynard of Smithville died Monday at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church in Walling, Tennessee. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. David Gann will officiate and burial will be in the Young Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonial and Alta Mae Young; husband, Fred Gordan Maynard; and a son, Terry Gordan Maynard. Survivors include six children, Patricia Farler of Liberty, Evia Cooper Johnson and husband Gerald Johnson of Cookeville, Cyrethia and husband Mike Stevens of Chattanooga, Jerry Dale and wife Tammy Gail Maynard of Smithville, and Michael Anthony and wife Nancy Maynard of Sparta. Eleven grandchildren, Keith Farler, Danielle Farler, Craig Cooper, Carrie Cooper, Mica Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Tristan Jade Burgess, John Dale Maynard, Avery Sliger, Jacob Maynard, and Keylee Maynard. Eight great grandchildren. One sister, Linda and husband Bethel Golden of Smithville. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.
