Age 82, of El Dorado AR, died Monday after a brief illness; born in Columbia County AR to Samuel Wesley Rogers and Mary Alexander Rogers; a graduate from Magnolia A&M College, now known as Southern Arkansas University; a homemaker; a retired bookkeeper for Milam Construction Company and the Shackleford Law Firm; married Bill July 29, 1948; a life long member of the First United Methodist Church, a sustaining member of the El Dorado Service League, former Board Member of the TAC House, an Auxiliary Board Member of the El Dorado Boys and Girls Club, and active in the PTA's of Northwest Elementary, Barton Jr. High School, and El Dorado High School.
Preceded in death by parents, husband of 57 years Bill Honea, and sister Josephine Rogers Watts.
Survivors include son, William Michael (Lisa) Honea, daughter Michele Honea (John) Foster, two grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
