Funeral services for Anita “Nita” Young, age 73, of Ruston, LA, will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Springs Baptist Church, Lisbon, LA – 425 Rocky Springs Road, Homer, LA 71040. Interment will follow at Rocky Springs Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Mrs. Young was born on March 29, 1943 and passed away on November 28, 2016. She worked for T. L. James for over 25 years and for LA Tech in Graduate Studies. She was a wonderful Mom who loved to cook and take care of her family. Nita was very outgoing, considerate, and had a huge heart. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jeff and Thema Norman.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Young; children: Matthew Wilson of Anacoco, LA; Michelle Wadley (Phillip) of Arlington, TX; Scott Young (Sandra) of Athens, LA; Aaron Young (Janel) of Simsboro, LA; Kelly Vermeulen (James) of Hickory Creek, TX; and Holly Elton (James) of Simsboro, LA; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, 1 sister, numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Wilson, Scott Young, James Elton, Aaron Young, Phillip Wadley, James Vermeulen, and Allen Elton. Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
