Cory James Johnson, age 28 of Wasilla Alaska, entered into Heaven on November 20, 2016 due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

From the day Cory was born, he was climbing, jumping, loving life and always on the go. He was 110% all male. He was rough and tumble and always had smiling eyes and a beautiful smile. He was extremely athletic and competitive and although he played various sports, it was ice hockey he loved. He played from the time he was five years old and continued until his death. Cory loved the outdoors and spent many hours in the wilds of Alaska with his family and friends. Everything Cory did, he did it to the best of his ability and with an intensity that was only Cory. Cory was kind and respectful and had an un-measurable empathy for others. He always took up for the underdog and would fight for them in a heartbeat. He was loyal to his friends and family and very loved by many.

Cory’s dream was to be a lineman and was into his third year with the I.B.E.W. apprenticeship program in Anchorage, Alaska. Cory was extremely proud of his great grandparents Elizabeth and Roy Peratrovich and his Tlinghit and Haida heritage.

The love of Cory’s life was his spouse Amanda and their daughter Hailee. The hole his death leaves behind in their hearts will never be filled. He will be missed by many and his memory won’t soon be forgotten. You can’t forget an unforgettable man.

Preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Elizabeth and Roy Peratrovich, grandmother Loretta Marie Montgomery and Uncle Robert G. Golie. Also preceded in death by paternal great grandparents James & Bessie Johnson, grandparents Reginald & Barbara Johnson, Uncle Robert C. Johnson and nephew Forrest C. Cook.
