BENNETT, Earl Robert, age 84, of Camden, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife of 58 years, Gloria, on Sunday November 27, 2016.

Earl was born December 24, 1931 in Butler County to the late John and Bertha (Bender) Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Robert Earl; daughter-in-law, Renata; and 10 siblings and their spouses.

Earl is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Keith L.) Pence of Sharonville, and Rita (Joe) Kimball of Camden; sons, Bruce of Middletown, Roy of Oklahoma, and Roger Bennett of Camden; sister, Virginia Clark of Crooksville; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War and retired from Armco Steel after 30 years of service. Earl was an avid fisherman and went countless times to Lake Erie. He also enjoyed hunting and farming but spending time with family and friends is what he really cherished.

Earl and Gloria were very talented and provided for their family in many ways. Earl with his hunting and farming skills, and Gloria with her upholstering and nightcrawler businesses. Their children would like to honor them by praising them for being outstanding parents and are happy to know they are together again.

A Visitation will be held Friday, December 2 from 10am to 12pm at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME (Formerly Nein Funeral Home), Camden. The Funeral Service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Fred Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery, Somerville.

If desired, contributions in Earl’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
