Joe “Jag” was born in Lead, SD February 19, 1950, and was the only child of Bolesh “Bill” and Mildred Jagodzinski. Joe was graduate of Lead High School and attended SDSM&T where he played college football and earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
For 46 years Joe worked weekends at Terry Peak, first on Ski Patrol and then as a ski and snowboard instructor. He also became a certified clinician, training ski instructors. He was a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) for 40 years.
Other interests included American muscle cars, drag racing, motorcycles, racquetball, water skiing, windsurfing, golfing, reading, painting and drawing.
Joe retired from the City of Rapid City as a Project Manager in the Street Engineering Department in 2008.
Survivors include his wife , a son and a daughter. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father.
Services at Rimrock Church, Rapid City. 10:00am Monday November 28th . In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children Transportation Fund, 4091 Sturgis Rd, Rapid City 57702.
