Mr. Davis died Sunday, November 27, 2016, at his home. Max was born August 5, 1925, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Harold and Margaret Watts Davis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Diane Holland September 12, 1949, in Milton, Iowa. He retired from Deere & Company in 1986, after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Diane Davis, East Moline; children, Timothy (Katie) Holland-Davis, Perryville, Missouri, and Anne (Mark) Resetich, Hampton, Illinois; grandchildren, Katie (Blake) Reedy, Joseph (Katie) Resetich, Jessica (Joshua) Gonzalez, Joshua (Mikayla) Holland-Davis, Amber (Dusty) Gold, and Bryan Davis; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Merrill (Carol) Davis, Moline. He was preceded in death by a son, Dan, in 1977.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline.
