Memorial services for Alvin R. Kinley, 60, of Crosbyton will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton. Dr. Les Griffin, pastor, is to officiate.

Interment will be made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers include Danny Morris, Phillip Morris, Jimmy Deweber, Johnny Deweber, Lynn Clay and David Miller. Employees of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation are to be honorary pallbearers.

The family requests memorials to the Children´s Choir Fund at First Baptist Church.

Following a six-weeks illness, Mr. Kinley was claimed by death at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Born Nov. 23, 1923, in Roanoke, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Mr. Kinley moved to Crosybton in 1936, residing here most of his life.

The former Lela Miller and Alvin Kinley were married Nov. 16, 1956, in Clovis, N.M.

He has been employed by the Texas State Department ofHighways and Public Transportation since Jan. 10, 1958. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton and the Downtown Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife, Lela; one daughter, Malinda Jo Kinley of the home; and four sisters, Pearl Brown of Fort Worth, Myrtle Fuller of Arlington, Bea Smith of Dodge and Faye Steen of Crosbyton.
