She was born July 14, 1924, in Junior, W.Va., the daughter of James and Angeline Tate Travise.
Virginia was a homemaker, raising her two children and also worked for five years at Packard Electric.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her son, James A. (Margaret) Elmore of Southington; daughter, Linda M. (Claude) Woods of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, Willard P. Travise of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, whom she married Aug. 15, 1946, and three sisters.
Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta.
