Thomas H. Yunker, 90, of Decatur, died Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2016, at New Beginnings Church. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Mt. Auburn. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Thomas was born September 20, 1926, in Windsor, IL, the son of Leonard Harlan and Callie Lucille (Edwards) Yunker. He married Phyllis Barnes in Geneva, IL, on December 22, 1966. Thomas worked for Duplex Products in Sycamore, IL, and retired after 25 years. He was a huge Cubs fan, a member of New Beginnings Church, and a member of the Moose Lodge in Dekalb, IL and the American Legion Post #105 in Decatur. Thomas was also a U.S. Army veteran.

Thomas is survived by his wife Phyllis of Decatur; children Sandra (Ed) Maciejewski of WI, Pamela (Bill) York of GA, Marla Salsbury, Stephen (Debbie) Yunker, and Phillip Yunker, all of Spokane, WA; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Donna Lindelof of Normal, IL, Clara (Wally) G’Fellers of Dekalb, IL, Jerry (Sharon) Yunker of Branson, MO, Larry Yunker of Elkton, FL, Linda Butler and Darlene (Rich) Boyles, all of Sycamore, IL; sister-in-law Sue Yunker of Sycamore, IL; very good friends Chico and Cathy Smith of Decatur; many brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
