Robert Eugene Spivey, 73, of Herod, Il. passed away on Friday November 25, 2016 at Hardin County General Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1943 in Cave In Rock, Il. to Eddie Spivey and Marie Hazel Spivey. He was a member of Bethany Church since 1968, and a Deacon from 1978.
He is survived by his Wife: Beverly Spivey of Herod, IL.; Son: Rodney and Courtney Spivey of Elizabethtown, IL.; Grandson: Parker Spivey; Sister In Law: Sandra and Ricky Day; Brother: Rev. Harry and Linda Spivey; Sister: Minnie Bell Cambell; Sister: Wanda Dixon; Sister: Barb and Ken Kink; and many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Eddie and Marie Spivey; Brothers: Kenny, Sonny, Buddy, Bob, and Bill; Sisters: Ann Burklow, Virginia Foster, Irene Spivey, and three sisters in infancy.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Monday November 28, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Bethany Church. The family will receive visitor from noon till 1:00 P.M. on the day of the service. Rev. Stan Pennell will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Lavender Cemetery.
