BYRD, Anthony "Tony" Anthony "Tony" Byrd, 74, passed away Wednesday (March 28, 2007) at the Glade View Health Care Center. He was the son of the late Claude and Lucille Byrd born in Mullins, SC on June 5, 1932. He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years assigned to the 82nd Airborne and the Green Beret at Fort Bragg, NC. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tallye S. Byrd; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Beatriz Byrd of California; his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret B. and Danny Morgan of Florida; three grandchildren, Christopher Byrd and Daniel and Brittney Morgan. A private service will be held for the family. Swan Funeral Home of Old Saybrook is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Old Saybrook Ambulance Association, 316 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
