Mrs. Estes was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on October 18, 1921 to the late Hiram K. and Lucy Newman Arvin. She was united in marriage to her husband, Fred Estes, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and often enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She also loved to quilt and garden.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Gene Carroll Estes and Freddie Ronald Estes; daughter, Kathleen Dennis; sister, Callamae Gray; brothers, Arnold Arvin, Hume Arvin, Raleigh Arvin, Buell Arvin and Paul Arvin; and by one granddaughter, Amber Searcy.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Lee (Jean) Estes, of Ohio, Johnny Keith Estes, Marie (Bobby) Doss, and Geraldine O'Nan, all of Frankfort, Lenora (Kevin) Goodlett and Sheila D. (Tom) Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg and Kimberly S. (Tim) Temple, of Waddy, Kentucky. She was also blessed with seventeen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Estes, Jeff O'Nan, Jerry O'Nan, Chris Hopper, Brandon Doss, Jeremy Hopper and Keith Doss.
