ROY DANIELS was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on May 20, 1929 the son of the late John Lauren and Martha Mirl Scott Daniels.
On August 2, 1952 he was united in marriage to Christine Taylor, who survives.
Mr. Daniels worked for Parris Manufacturing for 37 years. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Mr. Daniels enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and boxing. What he enjoyed the most was playing with his grandchildren.
He departed this life on November 21, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 1 day.
In addition to his wife Christine of 64 years, he is survived by his children, Steve Allen Daniels and his wife Melissa of Lebanon, Tennessee, Danny Lee Daniels of Savannah, Tennessee and Kathy Short and her husband Bobby of Savannah, Tennessee, five grandchildren, Jeremy Shane Short, Christie Kennamore, Lindsey McQuiston, Amy Hickman and Dusty Allen Daniels, three great grandchildren, Shayna Jordan, Kasen McQuiston and Kolton Dietch, two great great grandchildren, Jamie Lauren Hickman and Kalayah Jordan, two sisters, Eloise Ward of Savannah, Tennessee and Bonnie Sherrill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Cleo Daniels Beckham, Doris Carroll and Vernal Mae Paulk, four brothers, Leo, Jobie Lee, John L. and Eules Earl Daniels and one grandchild, Taylor Allen Daniels.
