Lawrence "Larry" Boyd, 94 of West Monroe, N.Y. passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was residing at Sunnyside Care Center with his wife of 69 years, Mildred Boyd. Larry was born on December 16, 1921 in Jamestown, N.Y. to Purl and Minne Boyd. He joined the Army Air Corps (later known as the Air Force) in 1939 and served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre and the Korean War in Japan. In 1953 he attended The University of California, Berkley where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Engineering with honors. Larry and Mildred lived in West Monroe where they enjoyed gardening, Syracuse University sports, traveling to Maine and were so proud of their eight grandchildren.
