Harold Wayne Helms, 76, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was born December 2, 1939 in Martinsville to the late Harvey Helms and Bertha Helms Goode. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Tyree Helms.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Helms Walker of Greensboro; son, David Helms of Axton; sister, Betty Franklin of Figsboro; and brother, Bobby Helms of Anaheim, California. In addition, he is survived by two grandchildren, Joseph Cole Walker and Eric Reid Walker.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested for health expenses for Harold’s son, c/o David Wayne Helms, 1599 Robertson Ridge Road, Axton, VA 24054.
