Floyd Victor Morgan, 40, whose home is a mile north and one and a quarter mile east of Wakarusa, died Thursday morning at 9:30 in the Elkhart General hospital, where he was taken Satarday for an emergency operation for a stomach ulcer. Peritonitis was given as the immediate cause of death.

Born in Madison township, northwest of Wakarusa, on July 26, 1895, he was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Will Morgan. He was platform man for the American Railway Express in Elkhart and had been employed by that company for 12 years.

Surviving are his wife, Lucy, to whom he was married in February, 1918, four children, William, Bessie, Junior and Harold, all at home, two brothers, John and Joseph of South Bend, and a half-sister, Mrs Mabel Miller of South Bend. Mr. Morgan and his family had lived in their present home for 13 years.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm Sunday at the home and at 2 pm at the Yellow Creek Mennonite church. The Rev D E Luttrell of the Elkhart Gospel tabernacle officiated. Burial in the Yellow Creek cemetery.

Floyd V Morgan's father was William Morgan (who was adopted/fostered by Joseph Horn & his wife Mary . William Morgan went by the the name William Horn & his 3 sons all went by the last name of Horn William & his 1st wife divorced & he married Hettie Ebersole (aka Eversole) Penrose Horn Markle & they had a daughter. 1910 all of his sons & William were using the last name Horn Sometime later the 2 older sons changed their last name to Morgan, the father's last name in 1870.
