Mr. Larson was born June 16, 1892, in Hawley, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Larson. He moved with his family to Wolverton, Minn., where he was employed for several years. On June 28, 1916, Mr. Larson married Alice Petersen in Wolverson.
He homesteaded south of Sanish in 1916. In 1941 they moved into Sanish and into New Town in 1953. Mr. Larson was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Minot and the Big Bend Township and school boards. He served as a county commissioner in the third district, Mountrail County, and was one of the organizers of the Farmers Union Oil Co. in Sanish and served on the board.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Glenn of New Town, Donald of Eugene, Ore., Bob of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dick of Denver, Dennis of Vung Tau, Vietnam, and Jack of Fairbanks, Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. James (Cleo) Alm of Bend, Ore., and
Mrs. E. L. (Lola) Whitetree of Federal Way, Wash.; five brothers, Edwin of Brush Prairie, Wash., George of Alvin, Tex., Roy of Wolverton and Rueben and Leif, both of Puyallup, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.
