Mrs. Ruth B. Gale, 79, Greeley, died Wednesday, March 11, at the Bonell Good Samaritan Center.
She was born March 3, 1902 to Otto and Mary Benning at Farmington, N.M.
On Dec. 24, 1920, she was married to the Rev. Louis Gale at Norwood.
Mrs. Gale attended school at Ignacio. After her marriage, they served various Congregational Churches at Ignacio and Hayden and at Douglas, before retiring in 1952. Mrs. Gale continued her career as a nurse until she retired from the Swedish Hospital at Englewood in 1969. She moved to Evans in 1970. Her husband is deceased.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star where she was a past worthy matron and a 50-year-member, the Amico Club, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Weld County General Hospital.
Survivors are two sons, Robert of LaGrange, Indiana, and Loren of Greeley; a brother, Oliver Benning of Pueblo; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, Norman, is deceased.
Graveside services will be at Fairmount Cemetery at Denver.
