Daisy Pauline Burg, 104, of Northview, passed away during the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center.

Daisy was born on October 29, 1912, in Mabie, West Virginia; a daughter of the late Alvie Gordon and Nellie Ann (Reed) Lake.

Daisy retired as a seamstress from Maiden Form. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and Gardening.

She survived by three daughters: Ester Ruth Davis of Clarksburg; Gladys Ellen Ventura, of Hartland, MI; and Mary Ann Weekley, of Louisville, KY; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; twenty-six great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-four years, George Burg; two sons, Richard G. and Bernard Burg; three daughters, Gracie, Georgie, and Dorothy Burg; three sisters Rebecca Bennett, Sarah Lipscomb and Catherine Zickefoose; three brothers: John, Basil, and Clemer Lake.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, November 25, 2106 and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98 in Nutter Fort, WV.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home’s chapel at 11 am on Saturday, November 26, 2016 with Pastor Richard Settles officiating. Interment will follow in the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
