Death year is best guess based on the only part of the last digit of the date on headstone, may be a 2 or 3. Stone states 39 years old. 1850 Census shows 1826 birth year which does not fit, 1860 Census shows 1823 birth which supports 1862 death year. Headstone was broken in several pieces for many years allowing the soft marble to deteriorate. Stone was repaired in 2016.
