Earlier in her life, Sue worked on the family dairy farm in East Donegal Township for 16 years with her husband Ken. She later worked at QVC where she retired after 15 years of work. Sue had such an incredible work ethic. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her amazing strength and great sense of humor even in the toughest of times. Sue loved spending time along the Susquehanna river and rarely missed a Tuesday at Root's Market. She loved animals, especially the squirrels in her yard that she fed every day. Sue was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maytown.
She is survived by three daughters: Pamela V. Wright, wife of Joseph M., Sr., of Columbia, Sonia Young Ross, wife of Michael, Jr., of Maytown, and Suzanne Young Daily, Marietta, companion of David Thompson; five grandchildren: Tara S. Myers, Joseph M. Wright, Jr., Lauren G. Ross, Benjamin H. Ross, and Ryan K. Daily; two great-grandchildren, Rhett H. Myers and Jackson M. Wright; and two brothers, Lewis Reinhart (Jean) and Fred Reinhart (Joanne). Sue was preceded in death by an infant son Donald L. Vera.
A funeral service honoring Sue's life with be held at 2PM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11 N. Queen St., Maytown, PA 17550 with The Reverend Robert M. Lescallette officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 6-8PM, and again on Saturday from 1-2PM prior to the funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta, PA 17547-1543. 717.367.1543.
