Obituary of Sue Ellen Henderson
Sue Ellen Henderson, age 64, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, in Gulfport, surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born in Laurel, MS on October 30, 1952. She was retired from working as a Technical Assistant with a contract subsidiary of the U.S. Navy at Ingalls Shipbuilding. Sue was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. Over the years, she enjoyed volunteering with the Ocean Springs School District Parent-Teacher Organization, Girl Scouts of America and the United States Tennis Association Junior Team Tennis Program. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Treasure Oak Country Club, Ocean Springs Yacht Club and the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center. Sue also enjoyed tennis, boating trips to Horn Island, travel, spending time with her family and friends and caring for her precious grandchildren. She much enjoyed the outdoors with her family. Anyone who knew Sue could see her beautiful, kind nature; and she never met a stranger. Words cannot express how much she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Benton Henderson and her father, Joseph Green Patrick.

Survivors include her mother, Mae Lea Patrick; brothers, Joseph H. Patrick, Jerry (Barbara) Patrick and Eddie (Shirley) Patrick; sisters, Linda Scivicque and Shirley (Terry) Schmitz; children, Bryan (Amy) Busby, Amanda Henderson (Damien) Bond, Cassie Henderson (Brian) Clark; her grandchildren, Blake Busby, Conner Bond, Aerial Busby, Locklynn Bond, Gabrielle Bond, Makenna Clark, Chase Marlin Bond and Sylvie Clark; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation and love to her companion, John Mundstock of Long Beach, MS.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Home of Grace or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Sue will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs.
