Carolyn E. Jacobs, age 79 passed away November 21, 2016 in Fort Walton Beach, FL. She was born in Panama City, FL to Huey and Estelle (Addison) Shiver. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 10 years William C Jacobs in 1993; one son Larry Tatem; and two grandchildren. She loved to travel, spending time with her family and was very active in her church. Carolyn worked for 23 years for the Chesapeake Virginia Sherriff's Office. She is survived by her two sons Mike Tatem (Kim) and James Tatem (Terri); sister Loretta Barnes; brother Jack Shiver; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Family will receive friends and family 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Rd NW. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Beal Memorial Cemetery. You may express condolences at www.emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com.
