Mrs. Otto Halvorson died at her home Wednesday morning December 15th.

Mattie Boe Halvorson was born near Grand Meadow, Minnesota, November 25, 1875, the eldest daughter of Erick and Johanna Boe. She was baptized at Grand Meadow and later the family moved to a farm two and three-fourths miles north of Adams. She was confirmed and educated in Adams.

On June 9, 1894 she was united in marriage to Otto Halvorson by Rev. Eggen making their home on a farm two and a half miles north of Adams where she resided until her death.

Nine years ago she had a paralytic stroke leaving her partially paralyzed, but through her affliction she was cheerful and patient. Thru it all she was a great consolation and blessing to her children. As long as she was able she was an active worker in God's vineyard. She was a kind neighbor, an excellent citizen, and a woman who identified herself with things that were right, good and progressive.

Mrs. Halvorson brought up her children in a God fearing manner. The memory of this kind and Christian mother will be a solace to her husband in his evening of life, and a consolation to the children who mourn her passing. She slept peacefully away last Wednesday at 2:00 a.m. at the age of 62 years and 20 days.

She is survived by her devoted husband and 14 children: Mrs. Arthur Lindquist, Mrs. Victor Lindquist of St. Paul, Minn., Leone of Minneapolis, Henry of Los Angeles, Cal., Ruth of Cambridge, Minn., Eddie, Mrs. Alfred Wiste, Mrs. Oscar Asper, Nora, Lawrence, Orville, Frederick, Maurice of Adams, Minn., and Lillian of Austin, Minnesota. Also 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Simon Boe of Taopi, Minn. Leonard and Carl Boe of Frederick, Wis., 2 sisters, Mrs. Henry Osmundson and Mrs. Rueben Wigness of Adams. Three brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held at 12:30 from the home and at 1:30 at the Marshall Lutheran Church, Saturday, Rev. Breivik officiating.

Mrs. Herb Osmundson and Mrs. L. J. Uglum sang two lovely duets.

The pallbearers were five sons, Eddie, Lawrence, Orville, Frederick, Maurice and one grandson, Paul Wiste.

Interment was made in Marshall Cemetery.
