Laura Latkey

Laura Latkey, 91, of Arnold, died Wednesday (April 30, 2003) at Highland Center Genesis ElderCare Network, Brackenridge.

Born Oct. 8, 1911, in Anita, Jefferson County, she lived in the Valley most of her life.

She retired from the former Keystone Dairy in the Parnassus section of New Kensington. Previously, she worked in the foil mill at Alcoa, New Kensington.

Mrs. Latkey was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and the Addolorata Society of the church, the Columbiana Ladies Lodge, and member and past commander of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, both in Arnold.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Baker; and a sister, Grace Sharick, both of Arnold.

Also surviving are a grandson, Billy (Deanne) Baker; a great-grandson, Zane Baker; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Baker, all of Needmore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement J. Latkey Sr. in 1954; her parents, Carmelo and Grace Puglisi Costanza; and a sister, Antoinette Butler.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the GIUNTA FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, where a prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Private burial will be in Union Cemetery, Arnold.
