Johnnie Boe passed from this life Monday, February 29, 1932 at Mineral Springs Sanitorium, Cannon Falls, Minnestoa, at the age of 48 years, 4 months, and 2 days.

He was born October 27, 1888 in Marshall Township, the son of Erick and Johanne Boe. It was in this community he grew up and spent his entire life. He was baptized and confirmed in Marshall Congregation, where he remained a life long member.

On November 18, 1913 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Johnson. This union was blessed with one child.

He was engaged in farming move of this life working his father's farm for several years and a farm south of Rose Creek one year.

In 1919 he purchased a farm one mile north of Adams, which remained his home until his death.

For the last 17 years he suffered from Asthma, but his condition was not considered serious until the last two years. About a year ago it was learned that he had contracted tuberculosis. In November last fall he went to Mineral Springs Sanitorium at Cannon Falls, but his condition was such that relief seemed impossible. He died February 29th at 9:45 p.m. at the Sanitorium.

He is survived by his wife and son Everett who mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father.

Besides the immediate family he leaves to mourn his departure: four brothers, Ed of Adams, Simon of Taopi, Carl of Frederick, Wis, and Leonard of Lock, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Otto Halvorson, Mrs. Henry Osmundson and Mrs. Rueben Wignes, all of Adams.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Marshall Church, Rev. Alfred Breivik officiating. Mrs. Lloyd Uglum and Miss Daisy Weness sang two very beautiful duets. Many memorial wreaths were given to charity and missions in his memory by relatives and friends. A great crowd turned out for the funeral. The church was filled to over-flowing. The pall-bearers were Earl Osmundson, Juel Osmundson, Erwin Boe, Ernest Boe, Henry Halvorson and Eddie Halvorson. The body was laid to rest in Marshall Cemetery.
