East Vandergrift

Eudoxia "Mary" Bolcar, 89, of East Vandergrift, died Thursday (May 1, 2003) at her home.

Born Sept. 19, 1913, in Pittsburgh, she lived in East Vandergrift most of her life.

She was a graduate of Vandergrift High School.

Mrs. Bolcar was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in East Virginia.

An avid gardener, she also enjoyed crocheting, holiday baking, reading, and watching soap operas.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen D. Bolcar of Baltimore, Md. and Dennis Bolcar of East Vandergrift; a daughter, Theresa Bolcar of Carmel, Ind.; and several step great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Robert Bolcar, Michael (Anna) Bolcar, and David (Amanda) Bolcar; and a great-grandson, Stevie Bolcar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen L. Bolcar in 1983; a daughter, Patricia Bolcar in 2000; her parents, Efim and Sinklet Zias Zuets; a brother, Samuel Zuets; and two sisters, Ksenia Ermakov and Nell Wydo.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME, Vandergrift. Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, with the Rev. Michael Sciberras as celebrant.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
