Kenneth L. “Woody” Good, 86, of Pekin, IL passed away at 6:55 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Woody was born on March 8, 1930 in Springfield, IL to Clarence and Lola (Clause) Good. He married Norma Hellman on June 7, 1953 in Creve Coeur, IL. She passed away on June 6, 1976. He married Donna Smith Bouris on December 30, 1977. She passed away on April 1, 2007.
Also preceding in death are his parents, sister, Ella Johnson and step son Mike Bouris, and his dear friend, Katie Clark in February 2016.
Surviving are: one son, Dan (Wendy) Good of Lacon, IL; two daughters, Sandy (Steve) Ketcherside of Hanna City, IL and Connie Good of Pekin, IL; three step sons, Randy Bouris of Bradenton, FL, Dick (Kathy) Bouris of El Paso, IL and Brian (Becky) Bouris of Groveland, IL; two step daughters, Kay (Don) Westemeyer and Keli (Greg) Maloney both of Pekin; two grandchildren, Jon (Shanna) Good of Ellabell, GA and Jesse Good of Savannah, GA and their mother, Mona Good of Cummings, GA; additional grandchildren include, Chet Strickfaden, of Canton, IL, Brad Bouris of Washington, IL, Luke Bouris, Lisa Bouris, Kensi Ramos and Sam Westemeyer all of Pekin, Kayla Bone of South Pekin, Atom Bouris of Eugene, OR and Breanna Hilbert of New Castle, CO; ten great grandchildren, Jonathan, Cale, Chloe, Isabelle, Sophia, Owen, Saxon, Braxton, Kenley and Teddy.
Woody worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 37 years retiring in 1985. He served as a Pekin Park Board Commissioner for several years and was a real estate agent. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, pool, and bowling. He was an avid Cub fan and was able to enjoy the 2016 World Series win.
A visitation celebrating Woody’s life will be from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. in Pekin. In honor of Woody’s love for the Cubs please dress casual and wear your favorite teams attire. Cremation will be accorded.
The family would like to thank all the staff and neighbors at Morning Side for all their kindness and care shown to Woody.
