Mr. Ward Charles Mabry, age 95, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016.

Mr. Mabry was born in Marietta, Georgia on June 11, 1921. He was the son of the late Harley Alexander Mabry and the late Gustie Octavia Bowen Mabry. Mr. Mabry was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He was the retired owner of Mabry Electric Company in Bremen. He also served on the Buchanan City Council.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Popham Mabry; one sister, Sara Ann Hendon; and five brothers, Excel Mabry, Everett Mabry, Harbin Mabry, Hagood Mabry, and Jack Mabry.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law; one son; one brother and sister-in-law; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Bremen First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Rooks, Rev. Mary Lou Gilbert and Danny Hutcheson officiating.

Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Bremen First United Methodist Church Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. in Branham Hall.

Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
