Gerald "Poncho" H. George, 76, of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, died early Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016, in his home. Born in Aquashicola, he was a son of the late Clayton H. and Alvesta G. (Kleintop) George.
Gerald worked in general labor for the former NJ Zinc Company, Palmerton, for many years. An avid automobile enthusiast, he enjoyed drag racing, mechanics, and attending demolition derby's. Gerald also liked to snowmobile, and hunt.
Survivors: Sons, Lonnie L., and wife Gayle, Ronnie L. and wife Lori, Joel S., all of Palmerton. Grandchildren, Derek and wife Sarah, Darin and paramour Kelsey Wright. Great granddaughter, Braelyn. Sisters, Janet J. wife of George Green of Beltzville, Beverly A. Compton of Dudley, NC. Daughter-in-law, Angie George of Palmerton. Nieces and nephews. Granddog, longhaired dachshund, Cali.
