Most all of the children of Samuel moved to Georgia by 1784 through 1805. He was in Old Campbell County, now Fulton County, when he died on May 2, 1836.On September 7,2002, the gravesite was honored in a ceremony headed by the Piedmont Chapter, Georgia Society, sons of the American Revolution.
