Jim joined the US Marines in 1942 and proudly served his country in the Pacific Theater during WWII. When he returned home he continued his career with Ball Band and retired in 1983, after 40 years. During much of his life he enjoyed playing golf and for 25 years Jim and his wife delivered meals-on-wheels through Real Services. In 2013 Jim was honored to join other WWII veterans on a trip to Washington DC sponsored by the Honor Flight organization honoring WWII veterans.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 25th from Noon until 1:00 PM in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Following the visitation a military graveside service will be held in honor of Jim at the Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Jim’s name to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana, P.O. Box 5, Huntertown, Indiana 46748, or www.hfnei.org.
