GARY WAYNE WHITFIELD, 79, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 in Tomball, Texas. He was born in Picayune, Mississippi on May 30, 1929 to Fred Worth and Rubye (Williams) Whitfield.

Gary is survived by his loving children, Gary Wayne Whitfield, Jr., Rebecca Ann Whitfield, Joan Melissa Maye and husband Marvin, William David Whitfield, James Eugene Whitfield and wife Sheri, Rachel Genevieve Alvera and husband Jose; his brothers, Daryl Whitfield and wife Diane, Edgar Whitfield; his sisters, Sylvia Whitfield, Andrea Leigh Lingenfelter and husband Ralph; his oldest friend and first beau of Mary Sue Stewart; 18 grandchildren; 10 (and 1/2) great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

The family cordially invites Gary's friends to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7th at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Hogan of Jersey Village Baptist Church will officiate.
