Born in Mississippi, she lived in Jonesboro most of her life and was a retired cook for Central Drug Store. She was an avid card player and loved to go on short trips. She was longstanding member of First General Baptist at Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, N.T. and Lena May Lumpkin Brother; two brothers, Waymon and Bill Brown; three sisters, Norvis Holland, Mae Miller and Millie Gilmore.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hogue and husband Curtis of Jonesboro; two sons, Steve Fortenberry and Larry Fortenberry and wife, Clara, all of Jonesboro; one sister, Carolyn Jones and husband Gene of Jonesboro; brother-in-law, Jake Miller; four grandchildren, Curtis, Cody, Lil Steven Fortenberry and Casey Hogue.
