BURNEYVILLE -- Services for Lisa Brooke Parker, 30, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, in Freeman Auditorium at Turner School, Burneyville. The Rev. Don Clark and the Rev. Mike Williams will officiate. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery.

Born on July 23, 1976, in Ardmore, Okla., she died on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim Ed Blakley, Flossie "Sis" Blakley and Juanita Parker; cousins, Chad Reed; uncles, Pat Parker and Arch Blakley.

A lifetime resident of Love County, she graduated valedictorian of her class at Turner High School in 1994 and was very involved in all school activities, cheerleading, academic and Beta clubs, 4-H speech team and FFA. She received many awards including winning the State Science Fair as both a freshman and sophomore, competed in the International Science Fair in Nashville, Tenn., and was selected to attend the International Science Fair in Orlando, Fla. She placed second at the state FFA speech contest. Lisa loved the outdoors, raising wild animals, hunting arrowheads and swimming. She was a very outgoing individual who enjoyed entertaining others, especially being on stage. Her most treasured moments were spending time and playing with the loves of her life, her two nieces, Sierra Brooke and Shyanne Nicole Parker.

Lisa was a member of Rubottom Baptist Church and had been employed as a teller at First National Bank in Ardmore.

Survivors include her parents, Mike and Lois Parker, of the home; a brother and sister-in-law, Lance and Jenny Parker, and two nieces, Sierra Parker and Shyanne Parker all of Leon; grandparents, L.O. and Amelva Parker, also Leon; aunts and uncles, Linda and Bob Bell, Monte and Winifred Hignight, James and Barbara Blakely and Lewis and Donna Blakely; special dog, Phou-Phou; many other relatives and special friends.

Bearers will be Travis Reed, Gabe Parker, Daniel Parker, Josh Lester, Jimmy Householder, and Jim Gillham. Honorary bearers are Don Loving, Dr. Tom O'Connor, Paul Hallum, Susan Hartman Stokes, all her many other wonderful friends who helped her get the double lung transplant two years ago.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 this evening at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
