She was a retired piano teacher and Director of Music for Christ United Methodist Church. She was also a great army wife through her husband’s military career.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Aurora Harper; and two brothers, Daniel Salinas and Manuel Salinas.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Hector Lauro Lopez of Kingsville; two sons, Col. Ret. Orlando (Liz) Lopez of Adkins, Texas, and Hector L. Lopez Jr. of Kingsville; one daughter, Cynthia A. (Howard) Garig of Conroe; four sisters, Juanita Alma Mendietta of Modesto, California, Estella Flores of Fremont, California, Margarita (Pedro) Saenz of Kingsville, and Elizabeth (Joe) Sias of Bossier City, Louisiana; three brothers, Rafael (Mary) Salinas of Milton, Florida, David Salinas of Kingsville, and Roberto (Naida) Salinas of Premont; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tues., 09-01-2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Religious Service will be held on Tues., 09-01-2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wed., 09-02-2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with Dr. Rev. Harold Onwiler officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
